Oklahoma July 4, 2020 Meeting

The “C” and Tyler Streets Church of Christ held this year’s Oklahoma 4th of July Meeting. Brett Hickey and Glen Osborn directed the services. Considering all that has gone on this year, the meeting was well attended. Ten states were represented. While we are unsure of the total number of those who attended, the largest crowd was over 200. Brethren were respectful of each other. There was a great display of love for the brotherhood. Over and over brethren expressed their gratitude to the congregation for hosting the meeting. People were ready to see each other, encourage each other and enjoy again the sweet fellowship in Christ. The preaching was outstanding. Due to technical difficulties (and inexperience) we were unable to record all the sermons. Starting with the young men’s service on Friday morning, July 3rd, with valuable help from Bart Shaw we were able to video the rest of the meeting. We deeply regret not getting the whole meeting, however, we hope you enjoy hearing the ones we present here.

We thank brother Jason Coon for his great work at arranging and directing this service. Eight young men, some aspiring to be gospel preachers, did an outstanding job of presenting their well-organized sermons.

Verse of the Day

Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? — Psalm 56:3-4 (NKJV)
